With the participation of Tomas Petrikis (viola)

Program features Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven

The career of the Lithuanian pianist MŪZA Rubackytė, currently living between Vilnius, Paris and Geneva, began when she was aged seven and made her debut in the Great Hall at the National Philharmonic, playing Haydn's Concerto in D Major, under the baton of Saulius Sondeckis. Today, the pianist appears in concerts across all continents. Her list of tour destinations include prestigious halls in Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Mexico and Japan, and even such exotic countries such as Morroco, Malaysia, Singapore, Mozambique, even the Bermudas, the islands of Martinique and Puerto Rico. Each year she is invited to perform at the Paris Opera, her recitals are held in the most famous concert halls. As per tradition, the performer returns to her homeland for the brightest celebration in the year, and invites her fans to join her in a warm, chamber music filled evening.

Her stage partner for this evening is probably the most prominent string quartet of the younger generation, Mettis, founded in 2011 from members of the string quartet class of Prof. Augustinas Vasiliauskas at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. The quartet has been a member of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) since September, 2014; they have participated in master classes across Europe. Throughout the course of its creative career, the collective can already boast of having performed with world-class musicians such as Miguel da Silva (viola) and Quartetto di Cremona, and has also appeared in prestigious concert halls such as the Wigmore Hall (London, England), Auditorium (Bordeaux, France) and Salle Pasteur (Montpellier, France).
