Opening of the exhibition "The Rebels of 1863-1864"

On the 25th of April, in the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, opened an interactive exhibition "The Rebels of 1863-1864", organised by the Museum of the History of Poland, dedicated to one of the largest national and social liberation movements of the peoples of the destroyed Republic of the Two Nations against the rule of the Russian Empire.

Historical Dance Day at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania - to the rhythm of the galliard

On the 13th of April Visitors were invited to celebrate the Day of Historical Dance at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania! 

Dr. Alexandra Pister spoke about historical dances in the Braunsberg organ tablature, Edmundas Žička taught the basic steps of the galliard and there was also the opportunity to improve the already known techniques with Živile Antanavičienė. Visitors could also see a performance by the historical dance group "Fioretti" of the Janina Miščiukaitė Art School in Jonava.

Three Seas Summit in the Palace of the Grand Dukes

On 11th of April, the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania hosted the Heads of State of 25 countries, including 10 Heads of State, including the Presidents of the neighbouring countries of Poland, the Baltics, and Ukraine, who took part in the Three Seas Summit Vilnius 2024 initiative in Vilnius.

On Thursday, the 4th of April, a panel discussion reviewed the history of state awards, discussed the significance of the state award as a symbolic object in the formation of national identity and the preservation of historical memory. Tenth International Marco Scacchi Early Music Festival

Here are some moments from the Marco Scacchi International Early Music Festival, which took place at the Palace of the Grand Dukes in March.

On the 3rd-23rd of March 2024, the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania invited Vilnius residents and visitors to the tenth International Festival of Early Music by Marco Scacchi, named after the composer of the music of the first operas produced in Lithuania in the 17th century.

On 3-23 of March 2024, the Palace of the Grand Dukes invites Vilnius residents and visitors to the tenth International Festival of Early Music by Marco Scacchi, named after the composer of the first operas produced in Lithuania in the 17th century. The festival was opened by Cantoría, a young vocal quartet from Spain.
