The chamber orchestra Cappella temporale that is assembling especially for this occassion on the last day of the year offers its audiences an unforgettable musical journey with Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seaons, wonderful melodies, musical tricks, surprises and unexpected soloists!
This year, audiences gathered at the Palace of the Grand Dukes, ready to see-off 2018, will be entertained by two Latvian-born soloists. The thirteen-year-old wunderkind Daniil Bulajev has astonished others with his talent. Aged just five, he debuted with a chamber orchestra in Riga, by the age of seven he was already playing with a symphony orchestra in Russia, and one year later, he performed his first solo recital at the prestigious concert hall in the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Daniil has already appeared in concert with Kremerata Baltica, the Latvian National, Latvian National Opera, Liepaja Symphony, Lithuanian State Symphony and other orchestras.
Gunta Gelgotė is a Latvian coloratura soprano, having lived in Lithuania for seven years already. She has created roles both for the Riga Opera Theatre and the Lithuanian National Opera Theatre in Vilnius. She is invited as a soloist to appear with the Latvian National Symphony, Sinfonietta Riga, Schleswig-Hollstein Festival, Balthazar-Neumann, the Estonian National Symphony and the Lithuanian Chamber orchestras. The soloist has received the Grand Music Award of Latvia as well.
