In commemoration of the year of Motiejus Kazimieras Sarbievijus and Baroque literature, the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania invites you to free Baroque literature readings, but this time it was different. The aim of the performative readings was to combine the Baroque tradition with modernity. The performers created a new sound, blending jazz music with elements of early music, and read Baroque poetry in such a way that it sometimes sounded as if it had been written today. This synthesis of two periods revealed new sounds in M. K. Sarbievijus' texts.
