The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania is preparing the exhibition „The word goes forth from Malbork... Treasures of Malbork“, which will, for the first time in Lithuania, offer an in-depth look at the history of the Teutonic Order and Malbork Castle. For the exhibition in Vilnius, the Malbork Castle Museum has lent some of its most precious and valuable artefacts, allowing visitors in Lithuania to discover the lives and daily routines of the soldiers of the Teutonic Order – the most dangerous enemy of the Middle Ages – as well as the fate of Malbork Castle after the fall of the Order and the museum as it is today.
Most of the exhibits, including the Gothic altar from the castle chapel, have been brought from the permanent exhibition at Malbork Castle! Here is a first glimpse of what awaits you.
