On the 10th of July an evening of poetry, prose and music took place in the Great Renaissance Menorah of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, honouring the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the famous translators of classical literature, Professors Dalia Dilytė and Eugenija Ulčinaitė, and remembering the memory of the scholar Eglė Patiejūnienė.
The guests were greeted by the leadership of the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, the Chief Adviser to the President of the Republic Jolanta Karpavičienė, the Chairman of the Seimas Culture Committee Vytautas Juozapaitis, the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports Justas Nugaras, and Professor Viktorija Daujotytė.
Poetry and prose texts of different ages were read by Ramunė Šmigelskytė-Stukienė, Audronė Kučinskienė, Sigitas Narbutas, Ignas Dilys, Ona Dilytė, Regina Koženiauskienė, Kęstutis Gudmantas, Agnė Pakšytė, Eleonora Terleckienė, Mintautas Čiurinskas, Asta Vaškelienė and Česlovas Karbauskis. The event was moderated by Gytis Vaškelis.
