"Preserve - people, creativity, Lithuania". A cultural evening dedicated to Justinas Marcinkevičius

On the 13th of February, in the Renaissance Menorah of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, a solemn cultural evening was held in honour of Justinas Marcinkevičius, "To Save - People, Creativity, Lithuania".

During the event, a new collection of Justinas Marcinkevičius' works was presented - the ten-volume "Writings", prepared by the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore.

The discussion on Just. Marcinkevičius' works were discussed with the participation of Aušra Martišiūtė-Linartienė, Director of the Lithuanian Folklore and Literary Institute, Gytis Vaškelis, Head of the Lithuanian Folklore and Literary Studies Publishing Centre, Salomeja Bandoriūtė-Leikienė, researcher at the Department of Sacred Folklore, Viktorija Daujotytė, literary scholar and Mindaugas Kvietkauskas, literature scholar. 

The guests were greeted by the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and the Head of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania Vydas Dolinskas. Justinas Marcinkevičius' poetry was read by students and lecturers of the Acting and Directing Department of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and the studio "Gal meno?" readers.
