M. K. Sarbievijus – the "Christian Horace," whose life became a bridge between Masuria and Vilnius. We share memories from the performance of the ensemble "Šviesotamsa," in which 17th-century poetry was revived surrounded by authentic instruments of that period.
The ensemble "Šviesotamsa" (Italian for "chiaroscuro") was formed in 2014 by Rūta Vosyliūtė, Ieva Baublytė, and Vilimas Norkūnas, who completed specialized studies in early music in Western European countries (Italy, Switzerland, and Austria).
Rūta Vox (Vosyliūtė) – soprano
Marianna Puriņa (Latvia) – baroque violin
Vilimas Norkūnas – bass, harpsichord, basso continuo
