In the New Testament, Saint Paul, in his letter to the Roman community, encourages to love everyone, even enemies: rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep (Rom 12:15). What does this idea mean to us today? Gathered in the current historical context of the twenty-first century, the three artists, through a carefully selected musical program, aim to identify with and support a modern individual in difficult or happy times, cry, rejoice, and look forward to a bright future together.

The concert will feature sacred duets from the early Baroque era for two sopranos and organ, inspired by the sacred joy and lament texts of the Old and New Testaments, performed for the first time in Lithuania. These include sacred compositions by Lodovico Grossi da Viadana (1560-1610), Adriano Banchieri (1568-1634), Giovanni Francesco Anerio (1569-1630), Alessandro Grandi (1577-1630), Lucrezia Orsina Vizzana (1590-1662), S. Filippi (1601-1690), Giovanni Legrenzi (1626-1690) and other composers.

PREMIERE OF THE CONCERT PROGRAM.
