On the night of June 13, the Palace of the Grand Dukes will open its doors not only to history, but to sound. Classical harmonies, jazz, contemporary explorations and experimental music will fill the majestic halls and courtyard for a night of unforgettable musical encounters.

18:00 The Mstislav Rostropovich Charity and Support Foundation “Help for Lithuanian Children” presents the concert: “FRENCH BRUSHSTROKES IN A GERMAN RHYTHM”
 
THE GRAND COURTYARD
19:00 LSPO project “Winds of Jazz”
Lithuanian Symphonic Wind Orchestra (conductor: Karolis Variakojis)
A bold, brassy journey from the roots of jazz to modern reinterpretations, featuring works by Louis Armstrong, Paul Whiteman, Count Basie, and more.

20:00 Duettissimo “Inspiration”
Dalia Dėdinskaitė (violin) & Gleb Pyšniak (cello)
Programme includes works by Čiurlionis, Achron, Handel–Halvorsen and others.

21:00 “Following Čiurlionis” – Jan Maksimowicz & Dmitrij Golovanov
A jazz and improvisation project reinterpreting M.K. Čiurlionis' preludes for piano, blending classical structures with modern sonic dialogue.

22:00 SUBTÌLUS
An instrumental group combining acoustic traditions with electronic textures – presenting both original music and global hits reimagined.

23:00 NIKA GANGA
A sonic journey through neo soul, R&B and jazz. Their lush soundscape and powerful live presence, led by vocalist Monika Juškevičiūtė, creates a space where time stands still and feelings take over.

00:00 SUN FRANCISCO
Bright, nostalgic synths and melodic, layered vocals. This duo blends alt-pop, playful rhythms, and multilingual lyrics in a show that invites both slow swaying and dancing wild.
 
Museum admission is free from 18:00 to 24:00 (Last visitors admitted until 23:00)

Specialists at the museum developed a professional development program for Lithuanian teachers titled "Creative Tools for Educational Efficiency." Teachers were invited to participate in a 60-hour course, held both in person and remotely. During the sessions, museum professionals explained how the state and society can be presented to students in an engaging way using a historical landmark – the Palace of the Grand Dukes.

On March 20th, 2026, the Transcarpathian Museum of Regional History named after Tivodar Lehotsky in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, opened an exhibition detailing the history of the Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius, its turbulent past and heritage and the bonds between Lithuanians and Ukrainians dating back to the 10th century. This panel exhibition opens an important chapter of shared European, Ukrainian and Lithuanian history for visitors, highlighting the period when parts of modern-day Ukraine belonged to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The Palace in Vilnius was the birthplace of political, cultural, and legal traditions that became a significant part of Ukrainian history.
