On the 22nd of September The Palace of the Grand Dukes opened the exhibition "The mastery of brussels tapestries. The New Exhibits at the Palace". The exhibition features four tapestries from Brussels workshops, acquired at the height of the pandemic.

The acquired tapestries can be seen until the 22nd of November, after which they will temporarily decorate the representative spaces of the Lithuanian Presidential Palace.

The tapestries in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius date back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when the rulers from Gediminid-Jagiellon and Vasa dynasties were in residence. The most frequent visitor and the most cherished of the palaces in Vilnius was Sigismund Augustus, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania (1544/1548-1572).

The collection of tapestries held by Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania symbolically restores Vilnius Palace to its former representative function
