The first floor of the exhibition center is now graced with paintings acquired between 2018 and 2025, depicting scenes from the lives of the rulers, historical battles, and religious themes. Of course, most of the attention is focused on portraits of the rulers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, their spouses, and nobles.

According to Dr. Vydas Dolinskas, „this exhibition shows the results of invisible but complex daily work. I hope that it will delight visitors and remind them of the cultural history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In my opinion, the fundamental task of the museum is to broaden the public's knowledge, cultivate historical memory, and foster a sense of pride. Each of our projects reaffirms our historical European identity.“

The exhibition “Returning Heritage” will be on display at the Exhibition Center until August 16.
